Tourism in the Murraylands predominantly evolves around the River Murray and water based activities including the historic paddle steamer “Marion”, the luxury paddleboat, “Murray Princess” and Australia’s largest houseboat fleet based at Mannum. In the south of the region the Coorong region is recognised around the world for its unique environment boasting some of the best beach four wheel driving in South Australia and a home to much of the recreational fishing for the region. The region includes beautiful unspoilt National Parks just waiting to be explored and an extensive range of recreational activities for family holiday activities.
