Where is the Coorong
Just 1 hour East of Adelaide the township of Tailem Bend is becoming a transport hub of the State of South Australia. Positioned right on the major transport routes to Sydney, Melbourne and the South East region of South Australia, the Coorong has a diverse agricultural base. Proximity to the expanding Murray Bridge administration, service and business centre, positions Tailem Bend and Meningie as strategic locations for business and residential expansion. Major towns of Meningie, Tintinara and Tailem Bend have unique differences but common to all are diversication and expansion. The long sandy beaches of the Coorong National Park form the southern boundary of the region and feature some of the best four-wheel driving country, fishing, indigenous tourism and recreational activities. Major towns in the region have well established comfortable housing as well as land set aside for new housing developments. The Coorong has good quality education for both primary and secondary students.
